Staffing: Consultants

Recruitment Process
Design Strategy Corporation isn't a placement firm. When you send us a resume, we don't go out and search for suitable employment opportunities for you. Rather, companies ask us to find consultants with specific skills. As soon as we receive a client order, our recruiters begin looking for people to fill that order. They place ads, search websites, ask existing consultants for referrals, and review our consultant database.

Initial Contact
The recruiter contacts you, as a likely candidate, to find out whether you are available, interested, and qualified for the position. If you are, we move forward.

Resume
The recruiter makes sure your resume is up to date, and may highlight relevant skills and experience.

Screening Interviews
If we haven't met you before, the recruiter interviews you in person and schedules a technical evaluation to be conducted over the phone or on the Web. The account representative who will present you to the client may also meet you. The goal of all these interviews is to make sure you are a good fit for the position. If the interviews determine that you are a good fit, we send your resume to the client.

Client Interviews
If the client likes your resume, your recruiter sets up an interview at the client site. Our account rep helps you prepare and debriefs you afterward. You may be asked back for a followup or for technical evaluations.

Background Check
The final step of the recruitment process is conducting a complete background check.

Offer
If the client decides you are the best candidate, your recruiter contacts you with a formal offer. If you accept, you sign a contract with Design Strategy Corporation.

Working
You will work at the client's premises, reporting to a manager there and following the client's attendance and dress rules. However, you are an employee of Design Strategy Corporation. You submit timesheets signed by your manager to Design Strategy. Or, if you are an independent contractor, you submit invoices with approved timesheets.

Our job doesn't end when yours begins. We want your experience to be successful for both you and the client, and we'll help you navigate any difficulties. While you are working with the client, your recruiter or account rep will call you regularly to find out how things are going. If you have problems or questions, your recruiter should be your first point of contact. Your relationship with your recruiter is a valuable asset for both you and Design Strategy Corporation.
