Project Description:
As a Senior Java developer in the Equities Middle Office you will be responsible for analysis, design and development on a critical new middle office transaction processing system. This system is used globally and covers the global range of Equity, Fixed Income and Futures products. The project is a distributed in-memory service based solution written in Java running on Linux. Other technologies being used include Sybase and C##. The development for this project is distributed over multiple locations and you will routinely be working as part of a global team

• Requirements analysis and system design
• Development and enhancement of middle office systems
• Interacting with users and other technology groups to understand current and future requirements.
• Interacting with the Equities Middle Office Technology group to determine strategic d

Required Skills:
Excellent programming ability and knowledge of Java are the most critical skills required for this position. The candidate should have at least 4 years of expertise in developing Java applications. Experience programming in a real-time systems environment on high volume transaction processing systems is highly desirable. An emphasis on server side development is expected. Other relevant technical skills:

• Strong Server Side Java programming experience (RMI, Multi Threading)
