Project Description:
The SharePoint Specialist will identify business requirements over multiple streams of work and roll-outs of various SharePoint out-of-the-box (with minor configuration) Intranet team sites and application sites for client’s business areas. The overall objective is to utilize the different Sharepoint tools to automate and otherwise improve the efficiency of the client’s business processes.
The SharePoint Specialist is expected to act as a Sharepoint ‘evangelist’. In this role the SharePoint Specialist will show how SharePoint’s capabilities can automate and simplify specific business processes as described by client’s business leads. The SharePoint Specialist is required to configure prototypes that demonstrate SharePoint concepts that are relevant to the client's business area.
Responsibilities:
Liaison with internal business clients, IT, engineering and developers.
Become the functional expert for SharePoint sites/applications for the region.
Develop use cases and screen mock-ups describing the business processes.
Provide expert advice on the availability of SharePoint capabilities and/or third-party web parts to deliver requested
business capabilities.
Create new training materials for portal environments.
Define, implement, and operate a SharePoint governance model that provides structure for site rollouts and content
management.
Test, document and train others in new SharePoint (SharePoint 2010) features and functionality.

Strong knowledge of WSS3.0/MOSS
Expert use of SharePoint Designer 2007
Knowledge of .NET technologies, C# , ASP.NET, JavaScript and JQuery
Ability to create custom forms using InfoPath 2007
Ability to create custom workflows using SharePoint Designer
Ability to create linked data sources, database connections using the Data View Web part.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including InfoPath2007,Excel and Access.
Basic knowledge of the third-party web part marketplace.
Advanced knowledge of the MOSS 2007 application and server architecture.
Basic configuration in MOSS 2007.
Excellent analytical skills ability to take requirements and break them down into manageable work products.
Excellent client-engagement and communication skills.
Excellent organization skills * multi-tasking, prioritization, and managing details.
Excellent analytical.
Proactive mindset towards all service requests whether project-based, enhancements or help desk incidents.
Can operate independently with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Undergraduate Degree is required.
SharePoint/MOSS 2007 certification is a plus.
