Description: Electronic Messaging Operations Support Analyst
Candidate will be part of a team that is primarily responsible for maintaining and supporting the firm’s Enterprise Mail Boundary Platform, Instant Messaging System, and Messaging Compliance application for the global organization. The role requires one to function as an operational specialist in providing tier two support to the platform which includes monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing the messaging infrastructure. Additional responsibilities will include working on strategic initiatives, lifecycle activities, software patch deployment, incident management, problem management and generating platform metrics. This will require hands-on technical proficiency in software, network and protocols mentioned below as well as the technical aptitude to pick up new technology and concepts. The role will be part of a 24x7 on call rotation and will need to be available to work nights and weekends if required. Candidate is expected to work in a fast pace environment and be able to deliver quality work under aggressive time constraints. Previous employment in a financial institution is a plus with experience in servicing trade floor customers.

Required Skills:
Requirements:
5+ years of experience working as an operational specialist within a technology infrastructure group.
3+ years of experience working in financial institution (direct support experience with front office users a plus).
3+ years supporting an electronic messaging platform.
3+ years in Linux/Unix
3+ years in Windows
2+ years working with Database technologies (Oracle / MS SQL)
Experience with Sendmail and mail relay concepts. Microsoft Exchange is optional.
Experience with Enterprise Instant Messaging technologies. FaceTime and Jabber systems are a plus.
Experience with electronic record retention systems.
Experience with TCP/IP protocol and ability to diagnose network issues
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
